Why Quality Matters in Natural Supplements

The UK natural supplement industry is enormous — and largely unregulated when it comes to manufacturing quality. Studies by Consumer Reports and Which? have repeatedly found that supplements sold in mainstream UK shops contain widely varying levels of their stated active ingredients, with some products containing as little as 10% of what the label claims and others containing dangerous contaminants like heavy metals or undeclared pharmaceutical additives.

This is why we built Gelatine Sculpt™ from the ground up with quality at the centre of every decision. We refuse to cut corners on sourcing, manufacturing, or testing — even when it costs us significantly more than competitors who do.

Sourcing Standards

Every ingredient in Gelatine Sculpt™ is sourced from carefully vetted suppliers with full traceability back to the original farm or production facility.

Green Tea Extract

Our Green Tea Extract is sourced from organic farms in the Shizuoka and Kagoshima regions of Japan, where the climate and soil produce the highest catechin concentrations. Every shipment is standardised to a minimum of 50% EGCG and 95% total polyphenols.

Pure Gelatine

Our Gelatine is pharmaceutical grade, derived from European pasture-raised bovine sources. Every batch is hide-derived (not bone-derived), tested for trace contaminants, and certified BSE-free.

Turmeric (Curcumin)

Our Turmeric comes from farms in the Erode and Salem districts of Tamil Nadu, India — the regions producing the highest curcumin content. Our extract is standardised to 95% curcuminoids.

Berberine

Our Berberine is sourced from wild-harvested Berberis aristata grown in the Himalayan foothills. Every shipment is tested to verify a minimum of 97% purity.

UK Manufacturing

All Gelatine Sculpt™ products are manufactured exclusively in the United Kingdom at a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certified facility that holds current MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) registration. Manufacturing in the UK ensures shorter, more transparent supply chains, full regulatory accountability, and significantly faster batch turnaround.

The Manufacturing Process

Each batch of Gelatine Sculpt™ moves through a controlled, multi-stage production process:

1. Incoming material inspection: Every raw material is tested upon arrival for identity, purity, and microbial load. Failed materials are quarantined and returned to the supplier.
2. Weighing and pre-blending: Each active ingredient is weighed by a calibrated industrial scale and pre-blended in a controlled environment.
3. Matrix preparation: The pharmaceutical-grade gelatine is hydrated and prepared as the carrier matrix.
4. Active blending: The active ingredients are blended into the gelatine matrix under controlled temperature and pH conditions to preserve potency.
5. Filling and capping: The liquid blend is filled into amber glass dropper bottles using automated equipment to ensure precise dosing.
6. Quality hold: Each batch is placed on quality hold pending laboratory testing before release for sale.
7. Third-party testing: A sample from every batch is sent to an independent UKAS-accredited laboratory for verification.
8. Release for sale: Only after passing every test is the batch released to our fulfilment centre for dispatch.

Third-Party Testing

This is where we go significantly beyond what most competitors do. Every single batch of Gelatine Sculpt™ is tested by an independent UKAS-accredited laboratory for the following:

• Active compound concentrations: Verifying that EGCG, curcumin, and berberine are present at the labelled concentrations
• Heavy metals: Testing for lead, mercury, cadmium, and arsenic below EU safe limits
• Microbial contamination: Testing for E. coli, Salmonella, S. aureus, yeast, and mould
• Pesticide residues: Multi-residue screening for common agricultural chemicals
• Allergen verification: Confirming the absence of declared allergen contaminants
• Identity testing: Verifying that the active compounds are what we say they are (not adulterated with cheaper substitutes)

Batch Documentation

Every bottle of Gelatine Sculpt™ carries a unique batch number printed on the base. This batch number links to a complete Certificate of Analysis (COA) documenting:

• The exact manufacturing date and expiration date
• The specific source farms and suppliers for that batch
• The complete test results from the independent laboratory
• The names of the supervising quality control technicians

Any customer can request the COA for their specific batch by emailing support@gelatinesculpt.co.uk with their batch number. We aim to provide COAs within 1 business day.

What We Don't Use

An important part of quality is what we leave out of the formula. Gelatine Sculpt™ contains:

• No artificial sweeteners (aspartame, sucralose, acesulfame K)
• No artificial colours or dyes
• No artificial preservatives (parabens, BHT, BHA)
• No GMO ingredients
• No synthetic fillers
• No common allergens (gluten, dairy, soy, nuts)
• No stimulants (caffeine, ephedra)

We engage external auditors to inspect our facility and processes annually. And we maintain open lines of communication with our suppliers to drive ingredient quality improvements over time.
